This movie was released on 14 February 2007, directed by Jon Avnet. In lead roles are Al Pacino, Alicia Witt, and Ben McKenzie. Al Pacino plays a psychiatrist (Jack Gramm) who has put a murderer and rapist Jon Forster in prison saying that if he were let out he would continue to do that. It's nine years later a Jack Gramm, a professor at a college in Seattle, receives a phone call saying that he has 88 minutes to live.

In the meantime, there is a copycat killer who is doing the same type of murder that the person who is testified for put him in prison and was supposed to be executed. However, he has always said that he is innocent and now there is a copycat. Jack is trying to figure out who is doing the new murders because the person he put away is already in prison so is somebody else doing it for him or he is innocent?

It was intriguing to see who was giving him the 88 minutes.

Ocean's Thirteen

Revenge is a funny thing!




This movie was released on 24 May 2007. Directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) is coerced by Willy Bank (Al Pacino) his former business partner into signing over his stake in ownership rights of the new Hotel Casino, which they were building on the Las Vegas Strip. Reuben feels betrayed, suffers a heart attack, and becomes bedridden.

Danny Ocean (George  Clooney) offers Willy Bank a chance to set things right. However, Bank is adamantly refused the offer and completes the construction, renaming the Casino, "The Bank". Reuben Ocean gathers his partners in crime and makes devastating plans to ruin the Bank on the inauguration night of the hotel.

The crew is back in action, on the inauguration day, The thirteen men team headed by mastermind George Clooney attempt to rob the game-table, Jackpots from a hotel-casino proprietary of Willy Bank.

Al Pacino did his part well as Willy Bank. Any role that is offered to him, he does flawlessly. The casting for the Ocean series is as usual, excellent!

This movie has  IMDB rating of 6.9/10.

This movie was released on 9 January 2009. Directed by Mimi Leder and in lead roles were Morgan Freeman, Robert Forster, and Antonio Banderas.

A veteran thief Keith Repley (Morgan Freeman) is traveling in the train, all of a sudden a thief Gabriel Martin (Antonio Banderas) enters the train and decides to rob two Russian jewelers traveling with precious jewelry. During the robbery, Keith Ripley closely monitors him and is fascinated by his skill. He meets him and asks why you are robbing in subways. Yesterday you took down two jewelers for a few stones from Romanovs. My idea is Romanov's itself.

Repley needs a partner to assist him during the robbing of two Faberge eggs worth $40 Million. The Faberge are all made of precious metals and fine jewels, each one is a unique masterpiece. Earlier Victor Korolenko was his partner whom Repley had shot. He was presumed dead but Police never found his body. Now he has gone and Gabriel Matin is in. 

Repley and his new partner Gabriel Martin plan to take down Romanov's jewelry shop.

Meanwhile, Gabriel meets pretty girl Alex (Radha Mitchell) who is the goddaughter of Repley. The two form a bond but Repley warns him to be away from Alex.

"The Code" this movie is full of intrigue, suspense, and bit of action, and surprising twists in the story. The director Mimi Leder has come with beautiful action sequences, special would like to mention the train robbery sequence at the beginning, which has reminded the train robbery sequence in the movie "The Great train robbery".

Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas performance are brilliant.

The Town

This movie was released on 17 September 2010. Directed and starred by Ben Affleck. Affleck also co-wrote the screenplay for The Town. Affleck made his feature film directorial debut with "Gone Baby Gone" and The Town is his second film as a director.

The movie is based on the book Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan. 

Ben Affleck plays Dough MacRay, a criminal from Charlestown Boston, the Armed Robbery capital of the world crime is a family job, his dad wonderfully played by Chris Cooper is serving five life sentences in prison. Doug is "The Architect" of his four-man team of crooks which includes childhood buddy "Gem" played by Jeremy Renner and during a bank job he kidnaps the bank manager Claire played by Rebecca Hall Doug decides after the robbery to get close to her to see if she saw anything that could incriminate them and in the process he falls in love with her. The two develop an intimate relationship.

Ben Affleck directs and stars the film. He has done a great job on both fronts. Jeremy Renner delivers some outstanding acting as his half-brother. Rebecca Hall is terrific as the bank manager. 

The acting in this film was great by almost everyone in the whole cast.

This movie was released on 29 November 2019. This is an entertaining thriller based on the novel by Nicholas Searle of the same name. Directed by Bill Condon. 

If one gets high from getting away with lying and enjoys it then he does that for the rest of his life. Roy is just like that, he is a con master, old age man. Roy meets an old age woman on social media, when they meet in the hotel and they introduce each other and tell their real names. His name is Roy Courtnay (Ian McKellen) and her name is Betty McLeish (Helen Mirren). 

Roy says he is a widower and his son Robert lives in Australia and Betty is also a widow, she is a former history professor at Oxford University and has one grandson, Stephen (Russel Tovey) who is doing his doctorate at Royal Holloway. Betty is so impressed that she opens up the doors of her life to him. Roy discovers that she has a saving worth £2 Million.

Roy and his associate Vincent, had formed a fake investment group by employing foreign nationals, and assuring the members that they would get back four times over the investments. 

Roy and Vincent's (Jim Carter) next target is Betty, the only challenge for them is Stephen who has already warned his grandmother that it is too soon to be getting so close to him. But Roy succeeds in convincing and gaining her trust, assures her that she will be doubling the money in five years and their investment will assist the growth of underdeveloped nations so your money would be helping those in need.

The next step was to transfer all of Betty's savings into the joint account with Roy.

However, who is fooling whom?

The performances of Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren are sublime and mesmerizing!
